Importing from FastBound

It is recommended to import Items first to make sure we have a clean inventory list before importing the bound bookThe way our system works is when importing from FastBound when iterating through the records coreSTORE searches for items using the Fastbound UPC field, if not found or none specified we use the FastBound SKU (product id) to try and find a match.  If not found, we try to use the Fastbound mpn (manufacturer part number) field to find a match, if all of the above fails, then we add a new item and use the Fastbound item_number as the Item Name field and we use the type as the category.

It is also recommended that you create a clean import for your Item Master that allows the import to create a match.

Another option is simply to import just your In-Stocks Items.

To start the process of import, please follow the steps below,

  • Go to the Bound Book Dashboard (You can either create a separate book or include the records in your Primary Book, It's your call)
  • Click the 3 dot menu to the right > Click Import From Fastbound
  • Enter your API Key, Account number, Choose the Status and Click the check box Update Inventory > Import

Once it's done you will see all the records imported to the selected book
