When opening coreSTORE for the first time, you will see the following screen:
Before you can use the coreSTORE system, you must complete the listed sections by clicking on the Go buttons (circled below), then by following the instructions listed later in this article for each step. When each section is completed the corresponding step will be crossed out with a black line as you see on step 1 below.
Note:
If you decide that you aren't done with one of the sections and want to remember to return to it at a later time, you can remove the strikethrough from the step by going to the Company Setup section in the Company Settings module and selecting Reset Steps (see Company Setup Section Guide).
First, configure your company information.
Second, configure your location(s).
Third, add your inventory/items.
Fourth, add and update employees.
Fifth, add your customers.
Finally, complete your first sale to complete initial setup.
Note:
If you do not want to see the company setup steps, click on Dismiss message (circled below) above the Go buttons. If you accidentally click on it, don't worry, you can bring the company setup steps up again by going to the Company Setup section in the Store Config module and checking the Show Company Setup box (see Company Setup Section Guide).
