Why is this helpful?

Many distributors' inventory chains are being pushed to their limits. Inventories across the board are running in short supply. If you deal with distributors whose inventory is not updated frequently, you may run into the problem of your customers ordering items that show in stock but are not. The last thing you want to do is have items showing in stock when they're not. This causes uneasy feelings for customers. We want your customers to be happy with you.

What exactly does this do?

This will simply limit the inventory feed of the distributors you choose.

Setting The Threshold

To begin, go to Products -> Settings -> Locations

Once you are here, choose a distributor, and scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll see this feature:

Example

Set the threshold to 5.

If the inventory is 5 or less it will display "Out of Stock".

Completely Remove Inventory

If you want to completely remove a distributor's inventory feed from your website you can just click the "Internal Use Only" button.
