ID Numbers Section Guide

When a new item or item kit is added to coreSTORE, and for every sale and receiving that occurs in coreSTORE, coreSTORE auto-generates and assigns a new number (ID) to each occurrence, a process which is known as auto-increment. For example, if the first item added to coreSTORE gets assigned an Item ID of 1, the next one would then get assigned an Item ID of 2, and so on. If you want to change which number coreSTORE will start to auto-increment based on, you can do so by going to the Store Config module and using the search box or the jump to drop-down menu to get you to the ID Numbers section.

Note: As it says in the note outlined in red below, changing the options in this section will not edit the IDs of items, item kits, sales, or receivings that already exist in coreSTORE, it will only affect any new items, item kits, sales, or receivings that are added after you change the number then click Save.
