(Note: To see the extra images mentioned in the field description, click on the blue letter in parentheses, for example "[as seen in the Appendix (image B)]". This will bring you to the Appendix of this article.)

  • Location Name (1): Each location will have its own section with all of the following options included. The reason for this is so that you can control inventory of the item by location, using the following options. The name of the location is located here.
  • Previous Item (2): Depending on where the item you are adding/editing is located in the Items list (see Items Sub-Module Overview), you can move to the other items in the list by using the Previous/Next Item buttons. Depending on the location of the item, you will see either the Previous Item (1), Next Item button, or both.
  • Location At Store (3): Input where in this location's store the item is located. This makes it easier to find for yourself/employees to help customers locate an item.
  • Quantity On Hand (4): This field will show how many of the item are currently on-hand at this location. This number cannot be edited here, and is dependent on the quantity of the item as set in the Inventory tab (see Items Inventory Tab Guide) of the item.
  • Reorder Level (5): Input the minimum amount (reorder level) of the item such that, when stock falls to this amount, coreSTORE will issue a purchase order to replenish the amount on hand at this location. For example, if you input 5 here, when there is only 5 of this item left in your Inventory, a purchase order will be created for the item.
  • Replenish Level (6): Input the minimum amount (replenish level) of the item such that, when stock falls to this amount, you will know to add more of the item to your inventory in this location's store [if you want to receive an email to alert you when the item reaches this level, enable the Stock Alert Email option in the location's profile (for more information, see How to Configure Locations)].
  • Quantity On Order (7): This field will show how many of the item are currently on order via a suspended purchase order at this location. You can also edit this quantity by changing this number or adding a new number (if you do change this number, it will not change the suspended purchase order, you will have to edit the purchase order manually).
  • Quantity Committed (8): This field will show how many of the item are currently included in suspended sales at this location. You can also edit this quantity by changing this number or adding a new number (if you do change this number, it will not change any suspended sales including this item, you will have to edit the sale manually). [Note: This number only changes if the suspended sale is of a type that is set to Commit under Update Inventory in the Suspended Sales/Layaways section of the Store Config module (for more information about this section, see Suspended Sales/Layaways Section Guide).]

  • Override Prices (9): Check this box if you want the item to have different price information (overriding the information in the Pricing tab of the item, see Item Pricing Tab Guide) at different locations [checking this box expands the screen with options (10), (11), (12), (13), (14), and (15)].
  • Cost Price (Without Tax) (10): Input the cost price of the item at this location, not including tax [this option will only show if (9) is checked].
  • Selling Price (11): Input the selling price (how much you are selling the item for in this location's store) of the item [this option will only show if (9) is checked].
  • Price Tier (12): If you have added price tiers in the Price Tiers section of the Store Config module (see Price Tiers Section Guide) for this location, they will be listed here (this field or fields will not show if you have not added any price tiers). Use this option if you want the item to have a different discount amount than the default as configured for each price tier in the Price Tiers section for this location [this option will only show if (9) is checked].
    • Input in the field (A) the amount of discount you want to be applicable to the item at this location, depending on your selection in the drop-down list.
    • Select from the drop-down list [as seen in the Appendix (image B)] which type of discount you want to be applicable to the item at this location (Fixed Price, Percent Off, Cost Plus Percent, or Cost Plus Fixed Amount).
  • Promo Price (13): If you want the item to be included in a promo at this location, input the promo price for the item [this option will only show if (9) is checked].
  • Promo Start Date (14): Input the date you want the promo at this location to start or use the calendar tool [as seen in the Appendix (image C)] to select the start date [this option will only show if (9) is checked].
  • Promo End Date (15): Input the date you want the promo at this location to end or use the calendar tool [as seen in the Appendix (image C)] to select the end date [this option will only show if (9) is checked].

  • Override Default Tax (16): Check this box if you want to apply a particular tax group or tax to the item at this location instead of the default tax group as selected in the Taxes section of the Store Config module (see Taxes Section Guide) [checking this box expands the screen with options (17) and (18)].
  • Tax Group (17): Select from the drop-down list which Tax Group (configured in the Taxes section of the Store Config module, see Taxes Section Guide) you want to apply to the item at this location [this option will only show if (16) is checked].
  • Tax 1/2 (18): Use if you do not want to apply a tax group to the item and instead want to create custom taxes for the item at this location [this option will only show if (16) is checked].
    • Name (D): Input the name of the custom tax.
    • Tax Percent (E): Input the tax percentage of the custom tax.
    • Cumulative (F): Check this box ONLY if this location's store is in a jurisdiction that requires a cumulative tax rate on sales (usually, leave this box unchecked). For more information on how this works, see coreTIP Tuesday - Multiple Tax Rate Setup (Note: For this option, you can only check this box if you add 2 custom taxes, no more and no less).
    • Show More (G): If you want to add more than 2 custom taxes, click Show More to expand the screen, allowing you to add up to 5 total custom taxes for the item [if you click Show More, you will not be able to check (F)].
  • Bin Numbers (19): The bin numbers of the bins that the item is located in are listed here. You can manually add/edit the bin numbers and quantity of the item in the bins, but this can also be done automatically (as items are pulled from storage at this location to fill sales, the bin numbers and quantities are updated).
    • Bin Number (H): Input the bin number (location of the bin the item is located in).
    • Quantity (J): Input how many of the item are located in the bin associated with the bin number in (H).
    • Delete (K): Click Delete to delete the bin number.
    • Add Bin Number (L): Click Add Bin Number to add a new bin number.
  • Save (20): Make sure to click the Save button when adding or editing an item. This will save your changes then pop-up a dialog asking if you would like to continue editing the item by clicking the Continue Editing button (dismissing the dialog, keeping you on the Locations tab of the Edit Item screen), or return to the Items sub-module by clicking on the Return to Items button.
