Column Configuration

For many of the lists in coreSTORE, you are able to organize the information columns to show what information you want to see and how that information is arranged. In this article the Items List will be used as an example (for more information about the Items sub-module, see Items Sub-Module Overview) even though there are several areas in coreSTORE for which it is an available feature.

If column configuration is an available feature for a list, you will see the gear button (1) which will show the Column Configuration window (2). In this window, the different information columns are listed. The columns that have the checkbox checked will show in the list. In this example, there are seven columns checked: Item Id (A), UPC/EAN/ISBN (B), Name (C), Category Full Path (D), Cost Price (E), Selling Price (F), and Quantity (G).

Because these columns are checked, they are shown in the same order in the list as they are in the Column Configuration window, and only these columns are showing.

There are three different ways that you can edit the information columns using the Column Configuration window:

(1): Simply click on the three horizontal bars icon

(2): Hold down on your mouse and drag the column name

(3): To where you want

You can use the Column Configuration window to rearrange the order in which the columns will show in the list using the three horizontal bars icons on the right:

Simply click on the three horizontal bars icon,

Hold down on your mouse and drag the column name,

To where you want.

Choose Columns to Show

You can use the Column Configuration window to pick and choose which columns you want to show in the list. Each column name has a checkbox next to it. If you want to show the column in the list, check the checkbox. If you want to hide the column, uncheck the box.

For example, suppose you also want to see the # of Variations column in the list. Currently, the checkbox is unchecked, so it is not currently showing in the list. If you want to show it in the list, check the checkbox (shown below).

In addition to the seven columns that were checked, now # of Variations (H) has been checked.

Because # of Variations (H) has been checked it now shows after Quantity (G) in the list.

Reset to Default Settings

If you want to reset the columns in the list to the default settings (default order of the columns, and which columns are shown in the list by default), click the Reset icon (shown below).
