You can create promotional deals (price rules) in coreSTORE to be applied to items, item kits, item categories, and item tags, and you can create coupon codes for those deals. In order to set up Price Rules, go to the Inventory module, select the Price Rules sub-module (for more information, see Price Rules Sub-Module Overview), then click on the + Create Rule button (1).
(Note: You can only have one price rule for an item, item kit, item category, or item tag at a time for a given date range. If you do create more than one price rule, coreSTORE will automatically use the latest one.)
Select which type of price rule you want to create from the Rule Type drop-down list (2) [options are Simple Discount, Advanced Discount, Buy X Get Y Free (BOGO), Buy X Get Discount, and Spend X Get Discount]. The options on the screen will change depending on which type you choose. Each type of price rule is listed below with a screenshot of an example(s) setup for that price rule type. For more information about each price rule type, there is also a link provided to an article about the price rule type.
