With coreSTORE, you can easily print labels for items and item kits. After selecting an item/item kit or multiple items/item kits from the Items/Item Kits Lists (for more information, see Items Sub-Module Main Options Guide and/or Item Kits Sub-Module Main Options Guide), several options will show at the top of the screen. In order to print labels for the item(s) or item kit(s), click the Labels button. There are 2 options for printing labels, Label Printer (A) and Standard Printer (B).

  • If you are printing labels using a label printer, select Label Printer (A).
  • If you are printing labels on regular paper or a label sheet using a standard printer, select Standard Printer (B).

Generate Barcodes (Label Printer)

If you select Label Printer, you will be brought to the Generate Barcodes screen. On this screen, you can either print custom labels or direct print using an existing label (for more information about setting up direct printing, see How to Direct Print).

  • If you want to print custom labels, select Print (1) (this is the default option when you are first brought to the Generate Barcodes screen).
  • If you want to direct print using an existing label, select Direct Print (2).

On this screen, you can customize the size of the barcode label and the font on the barcode label by inputting the numbers that you want in the settings fields (A) then by clicking the Submit button (E). If you want to undo the customizations and default to the original settings, click the Reset Labels button (C).

In order to use the barcode labels you can either print them by clicking on the Print button (B) or by exporting them to Excel by clicking on the Excel Export button (D). The barcode labels that show on the screen (F) correspond to the item(s)/item kit(s) that you selected from the Items/Item Kits Lists (for more information, see Items Sub-Module Main Options Guide and/or Item Kits Sub-Module Main Options Guide).

Direct Print

On this screen, you can see the qzTray Connection Manager (A) to manage your coreSTORE's connection to qzTray (for how to connect coreSTORE and qzTray, see Labels Sub-Module Overview). If the connection is active, use the following options to direct print the existing label(s) you need:

  • Label Name (B): Select from the drop-down list which existing label type you want to print (to manage the existing label types that make up the drop-down list, see Labels Sub-Module Overview).
  • Printer (C): Select from the drop-down list (this drop-down list contains the printers that are connected to your coreSTORE via qzTray) which printer you want to print the label from (you will need to have qzTray connected to your coreSTORE in order to print a label).
  • Host (D): You can specify an IP address for the label.
  • Port (E): You can specify a port for the printing of the label.
  • Quantity (F): Input how many of labels of each item you want to print.

After you use the above options to setup direct printing of the existing label(s) you need, you can click the Preview button (G) to preview an example of the label(s) before you print [to go back to the screen to edit the options or print the label(s), click the Close button], or you can print the label(s) by clicking the Print button (H).

Barcode Sheet (Standard Printer)

If you select Standard Printer, the Number of labels to skip window will pop-up. If you are reusing a label sheet, input how many labels you need to skip in the field (A) then click the Submit button (B) to print the labels. Otherwise, just click the Submit button (B) to print the labels.
