The Move feature in coreSTORE allows you to move selected Bound Book record entries (“Records”) in the Dashboard from one Bound Book to another Bound Book (“Book”).

To use this feature:

  1. Select the Bound Book record you wish to move
  2. Click the Move button
  3. Select the book you wish to move the record to in the dialogue box that pops up

The system will then take these actions:

  • The Record in the Old Book will be marked as DISPOSED and changed:
  • The Disposition Info tab will show:
    • Company Name, Address, and FFL Number will reflect the current Location
  • Disposition Date will be set to today’s date
  • The Disposition Notes will show the name and ID of the New Book (where the record was moved), and the ID of the new Record that was created in the New Book (e.g. "Moved to Book ID 2 - CLASS 3 HOUSTON, Record ID 123")
  • The Edit History tab will show the data that was changed, with the Notes column showing that the Record was moved to the New Book (e.g. "Moved to CLASS 3 HOUSTON")

The Record in the New Book will be a copy of the record from the Old Book (including the original Acquisition Info from the Old Book), retaining its status (e.g. "IN STOCK") plus:

The Acquisition Notes field will show the name and ID of the Old Book (where the record was moved from), and the ID of the Record that was in the Old Book (e.g. "Moved from Book ID 4 - PRIMARY HOUSTON, Record ID 64")
