I did a sale today and added the serial number to the item on the sales screen and have the sale suspended, but it's not pending, why not?

Suspending a transaction does not update the bound book. There are many times a suspended transaction may be cancelled, changed or it’s just an estimate, so as a rule we DO NOT update the bound book when a transaction is suspended, we ONLY update the bound book when a transaction is actually completed.
