Items Section Guide

In the Store Config module, use the search box or the jump to drop-down menu to get you to the Items section.

 

(Note: To see images of the drop-down lists, click on the letter in parentheses, for example "Select from the drop-down list (A)". This will bring you to the drop-down list section of this article.)

 

  • Manage categories (1): Clicking Manage categories brings you to the Categories sub-module of the Items module, where you go to add, edit, delete, or choose whether or not to hide the category from the Item Grid.
  • Manage tags (2): Clicking Manage tags brings you to the Tags sub-module of the Items module, where you go to add, edit, or delete tags.
  • Number Of Items Per Page (3): Select from the drop-down list (A) how many items you want to be shown per page in the Items sub-module of the Inventory module (This field is required).
  • Number Of Items Per Page in Grid (4): Select from the drop-down list (B) how many items you want to be shown per page in the item grid (This field is required).
  • Default Reorder Level When Creating Items (5): Input the minimum amount (reorder level) of each new item such that, when stock falls to this amount, coreSTORE will issue a purchase order to replenish the amount on hand. This field is optional, and you should only use it if you want every new item that you add to your coreSTORE to have a reorder level.
  • Default Days To Expire When Creating Items (6): Input the maximum amount of days that you will keep each item in stock before they expire. This field is optional, and you should only use it if you want every new item that you add to your coreSTORE to have an expiration date. ?????
  • Default New Items As Service Items (7): Check this box if you want all new items to be marked as service items.
  • Consignment Items? (8): Check this box if you plan to use consignment items in your coreSTORE.
  • Rental Items? (9): Check this box if you plan to use rental items in your coreSTORE.

  • Default Cost Percent (10): Input the default cost percent for all new consignment items.
  • Default Fee (11): Input the default fee that you charge for all new consignment items.
  • Highlight Low Inventory Items In Items Module (12): Check this box if you want coreSTORE to highlight in red items that are low in stock in the Items sub-module of the Inventory module.
  • Limit Manual Price Adjustments And Discounts (13): Check this box if you want to limit manual price adjustments and discounts. ?????
  • Enable Mark Up Calculator (14): Check this box to enable the mark up calculator in the Pricing tab when adding/editing new items.
  • Enable Margin Calculator (15): Check this box to enable the margin calculator in the Pricing tab when adding/editing new items.
  • Verify Age For Products (16): Check this box if you want it to be required that the age of the customer be verified before purchase, enabling a pop-up automatically for age verification when selling items with an age verification requirement, which is added through the Item Info tab when adding/editing an item. Checking this box shows option (18).
  • Price By Serial Number (17): Check this box if you want to be able to set different cost and selling prices for each serial number of an item with several different serial numbers.
  • Default Age To Verify (18): Shows up after checking option (16). Input what age you want to be verified for purchase. Can be changed per item in the Item Info tab when adding/editing an item.
