How do pick which product shows in search results for a product group?

Question:

I have a T-shirt set up as a group of products with multiple sizes and colors.  How do I pick which product is shown in search results?

Answer:

All of the products in the group should be marked as "Not Searchable" on the details tab, except the one you want to show up in search results.

For the product you want to be the master of the group, you should give it a generic title (That is, "T-shirt", not "T-shirt black small") and if you want, use a  generic image with all the colors or styles available.  For that product ONLY, uncheck "Not Searchable".  This will make it the one to show up in search results.
