Why do my in-store products not show up first in search results in coreFORCE?

When browsing by category (with no search term), the sort order of a product is taken into account as part of the search multiplier.  If the sort order is 0 (which means that the items should show first in a list), they will be given a relevance score of 200, which pushes them above the rest of the products.

We recently fixed a bug in the API that was setting the sort order to 0 when importing a new product instead of the default value of 100.  This resulted in a large number of products imported from coreSTORE having a sort order of 0 and being pushed to the top of the list, even if they were no longer in stock in the local store.

To fix this issue, go to Products > Products, click on the Actions button, select Preferences, and add Sort Order to list of columns shown.  You can then click on the Sort Order column header to see which products have a sort order of less than 100.

Click on the checkboxes to the left of each product that you need to fix, and then click the Actions button, and select "Reset Sort Order for selected rows" and enter 100 in the dialog box that appears.

If you have a large number of products that need to be fixed so that selecting records one by one would be too time-consuming, you can reset the sort order for all products by clicking Actions > Select All, and then doing Reset Sort Order for Selected Rows on all products.
