Required Fields:

In order for your item to show up on coreFORCE, there are required fields that need to be filled out such as:

Category

UPC or Product ID

Description

Is Ecommerce Item checkbox

Why isn't my item showing up?

Category Not Connected to coreFORCE Category: The category in coreSTORE needs to be connected to a category in coreFORCE. First you will need to make sure that there is a similar category in coreFORCE to the category in coreSTORE. Login to coreFORCE and navigate to Products > Taxonomy > Categories and use the search bar to look for a category in coreFORCE that is the same as the one in coreSTORE:

If you can't find one, click the + Add button in the top right of the screen, then on the following screen simply enter the category name from coreSTORE into both the Product Category Code field and the Description field and save the category:

Once this is done, go back to your coreSTORE and navigate to Inventory > Categories, then click [Edit] next to the category:

Next, scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window, click on the magnifying glass, then use the Select Category search box in the pop-up dialog to search for the coreFORCE category and click the Save button:

A Unique UPC/Product ID: The UPC needs to be unique to that item; you can't have more than one item with the same UPC.

The Description, Not the Item Name, Is Important: The description of the item in coreSTORE is actually what is used as the name of the product in coreFORCE, not the item name.

Common Errors

  • If you get an invalid product id error when saving an item after checking the is e-commerce item checkbox, this means that the current ecommerce id is not listed in coreFORCE. In order to correct this issue, click Edit:

Then remove the id from the item and click the Save button to have the system automatically generate a new e-commerce id:

  • If you get a product code error, you need to search for the UPC/Product ID you have listed for the item in coreSTORE in Products > Products in coreFORCE. This error means that the UPC/Product ID in coreSTORE is already attached to a product in coreFORCE. The coreFORCE product will either need to be inactivated or the item needs to be edited in order to remove the contradiction.
  • If you get an invalid location error, you need to change the name of the location in coreSTORE to reflect the name of the location in coreFORCE. Login to coreFORCE and navigate to Products > Settings > Locations, search for the location in the list, and take note of the name of the location in coreFORCE:

Next, go back to your coreSTORE and navigate to Inventory > Locations, and make sure that the name of the location in coreSTORE is the same as the location in coreFORCE. If the name is not the same, click Edit to enter the location's profile:

In the location's profile, enter the name of the location from coreFORCE in the Name field then click the Save button:

  • If you get an invalid product manufacturer error, you need to search for the manufacturer in Inventory > Manufacturers, open the manufacturer's record, and check the Ecommerce Manufacturer ID field:

If this field is empty, you will need to go into coreFORCE and navigate to Products > Taxonomy > Manufacturers:

and use the search bar to look for a manufacturer in coreFORCE that is the same as the one in coreSTORE:

If you can't find one, click the + Add button in the top right of the screen, then on the following screen simply enter the manufacturer name from coreSTORE into both the Product Manufacturer Code field and the Description field and save the manufacturer:

Once you find a matching manufacturer in the list, take the number from the ID column:

and plug it into the Ecommerce Manufacturer ID field in coreSTORE, then click the Save button:

If there was already an ID in that field, then you will need to replace it with the ID found in coreFORCE for the matching manufacturer, then attempt to sync the item again, and it should work.

NOTE

You do not enter the Category ID or Ecommerce Id under the Item's Information

This ID will be automatically generated by coreSTORE.
