Can I do an inventory count while open for business?

The short answer is yes. When performing an inventory count, you can continue to make sales. You will notice that the Actual On Hand Quantity does not update in "real-time", but the reason for that is so you can count and still have sales process.

Once you complete counting for that item, as long as you don’t count it again the Actual On Hand and what you counted stay the same. When you close the count it will update based on the difference of these two numbers.

For Example:

Actual 5 *Count 6*

SELL 2 *Actual 3*

Close Count *Actual 4 (Difference between original count and actual when counted)*
