This article explains further what this option on the Receiving Screen is used for.
When creating a Receiving in coreSTORE and you add an item to the Receiving, if the item is already in your inventory, you can add a COST and STANDARD COST to the item under it's Pricing Tab.
If you want the receiving to use the COST from the Items Pricing Tab, do not check the USE STANDARD COST box:
