Error Message "Can't Add Customer" When Scanning Driver's License

When we scan a driver's license, we receive an error message saying "can't add customer."


What should be the first thing we check?


1. Make sure to click the 'license' button rather than just scanning the license into the search field.


It should be like the screen below then scan.
