Definition of Item Kit

Item kits are simply a group of items that you sell as one package.

A good examples would be a gift basket which contains multiple items.

When an item kit is sold, all the items in the kit are deducted from inventory. When creating an item kit you can manually set an overall price for all of the items in the item kit and the overall price will be automatically divided between all of the items OR if you do not set an overall price, each individual item will be added to the sale at the same price that they would be if they were sold individually.

Creating an Item Kit:

  • Enter all the information that is relevant to your Item Kit.

You can search for your items by name that you want in the kit. You can add as many as you want. As you do this the cost price and unit price are calculated automatically. You can change this later after adding all the items.

After you are satisfied with the construction of the kit, click Save.

You can add the item kit to the sale by searching for it by name, UPC or PRODUCT ID.
