Question: I can add a column called Payment Method to the Order grid in the Orders Dashboard but it is blank for all orders. Why is that?
Answer: This is by design. An order can have multiple payment methods, so there is no value in the payment method of the order itself.
There is only one exception, which is orders created by the recurring payments background process (normally subscription renewals, such as a range membership). Those are linked to a specific payment method so the payment method is part of the order.
For all normal orders placed through the website, the payment method(s) are in the payment records, not in the order, so it is not possible to show in them in the order dashboard.
