Sales tax is defined using three different methods. It can be defined per Item, per location, and/or globally in store config.
We support a wide variety of taxes including VAT and other taxes that are used internationally.
Set Up information
To modify the sales tax globally see the "Store Configuration Options" Help Document.
To set up or modify the sales tax at a particular location, See the "Multi Store Setup" Help Document.
To set up or modify the sales tax on a specific item See the "Items" Help Document
Sales tax defined on a location takes precedence over globally defined values in store configuration settings. Likewise, taxes defined on a particular item take precedence over values defined per location and in the store configuration.
