How to Manually Reload a Gift Card

If the Gift Card is already showing in the Gift Card list on your coreSTORE. You can do the following to add to the Balance of the Gift Card:

Create a service item named "Gift Card Reload." Enter the UPC for the item as GFRELOAD.
- Under item pricing, make sure to mark the Item as "Override Default Tax" and set the tax group to "No Tax," then save.

**Check "Is Service" when creating the new item "Gift Card Reload" to ensure that it is a service item and not a physical item.**

Add the customer to the sale with the "Gift Card Reload" item and charge them the amount they want to reload on the gift card.
- Make a note that is visible on the sale item and add the gift card # as a comment

Complete the Sale
Go to Sales > Gift Cards to edit the gift card balance to the corresponding sale amount
